BUGINVENTORY X by Mo Ritter

BUGINVENTORY X collects a series of drawings born of the harm and healing of quarantine. Like intricate mazes, aerial maps of protest paths, or technical plans for spiritual dollhouses Ritter's imagery depict a sense of captivity and interiority that asks to be studied.

Mo Ritter is a Jewish artist and poet whose intermedia practice contains drawings, sculpture, html, and embroidery. Her work is in reworking found materials without hierarchy. Like the hypnagogic states she generates ideas from, object and language interchange freely. Her family’s history with the Holocaust has a profound impact on her work and cements Mo's understanding of art as a tool for healing and empowerment. She has exhibited at venues such as Artists Space (NY), Shanaynay (Paris), PICA, and MoMA (NY). She has received grants from OAC, FCA, among others. Art Forum, Art Practical, Art Viewer, e-flux & Vice have published her work.
